1. About These Terms

These terms govern your use of the Semseo platform (semseo.uk) and any services accessed through it, including assessments, reports and account features. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

Semseo is operated by Semseo Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

2. Account Terms

When you create a Semseo account you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice where possible.

Business accounts are owned by the organisation. The account administrator controls user access and data within their organisation.

3. Assessments and Reports

Our assessment tools provide guidance based on the information you supply. They do not constitute professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a formal workplace assessment by a qualified person.

Assessment results and PDF reports are generated for your reference only. You are responsible for reviewing the guidance in the context of your specific workplace and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

4. Communications

By providing your email address when using our services (including assessments, report downloads, or account creation), you agree that we may contact you by email with:

• Your requested reports and assessment results
• Account-related notifications (security, service changes, billing)
• Relevant product and service information from us and our partner organisations

Marketing communications will only be sent while your account is active. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting us. This will not affect transactional or account-related emails.

We will not sell or share your email address with unrelated third parties.

5. Partner Organisations

Some of our services are provided through partner organisations (such as training providers) who use the Semseo platform. When you access a service through a partner, your information may be shared with that partner to fulfil your request.

Partner organisations may contact you regarding the specific service you accessed through them, in accordance with their own privacy policy.

6. Your Data

Your data belongs to you. We process it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law.

You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time by contacting us.

Business account data is retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Assessment data provided without an account is retained for 12 months to allow you to return and complete or review your results.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software and materials on the Semseo platform are the property of Semseo Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify any content without our prior written consent. Reports generated for you are for your own use.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Semseo shall not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform or any assessment guidance provided.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
