This is a screening tool, not a Fire Risk Assessment. It uses your answers to indicate a risk level and highlight areas that warrant attention, so you have an informed basis for a conversation with a competent fire risk assessor.
The output does not satisfy your duty under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Article 9 (the requirement to ensure a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment is in place). It is not insurable, certifiable or auditable as an FRA. Where your premises is rated HIGH risk, where people sleep on the premises, in healthcare or multi-occupancy residential settings, or where your insurer requires it, the assessment must be carried out by a competent person.
Every premises is different — this tool cannot make decisions for you. Review every finding against your actual premises and consider whether the same or different action is appropriate.
This tool does not replace professional advice or a Fire Risk Assessment carried out by a competent person (typically IFSM, IFE, or a BAFE SP205 / UKAS-registered assessor).

This is a screening tool, not a First-Aid Needs Assessment. It uses your answers to indicate the likely level of first-aid provision — trained first aiders, training type, kits, AED, special considerations — so you can act on the suggestions and document them as part of your own needs assessment.
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, Regulation 3 places the duty on the employer to make sure provision is “adequate and appropriate” based on the workplace's specific circumstances. HSE guidance L74 (“First aid at work”) describes how to carry out this assessment — this tool follows that method and HSE ratios, but does not capture every nuance of your premises or activities.
Where the assessment indicates a higher-risk workplace, where the EYFS Statutory Framework applies (children under 5), or where staff or pupils have specific medical conditions, you should review the suggestions against the relevant statutory guidance and consider whether occupational health or first-aid consultancy input is appropriate.
This tool does not replace the employer's own first-aid needs assessment. The recommendations are a starting point and must be reviewed against your specific workplace.
